Our Kings & Queens: Raised with Love, Health & Ethical Standards

As an ethical Ragdoll breeder, we are committed to raising healthy, well-socialized breeding cats who meet the highest standards of care. All our breeding cats are:

✔ Raised according to TICA’s Standards for Ethical Ragdoll Breeders
✔ From top-quality Ragdoll lines only – We source new breeding cats exclusively from other reputable, ethical breeders like ourselves.
✔ Health-checked yearly by a licensed veterinarian
✔ Fully vaccinated for FVRCP, Rabies, and Feline Leukemia
✔ Genetically tested (Wisdom Panel) and cleared of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) & polycystic kidney disease (PKD) – 3 in 10 Ragdolls from untested lines die suddenly from these fatal conditions.
✔ Snap-tested negative for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline AIDS (FIV)
✔ Dewormed at least twice a year for heartworms, tapeworms, and roundworms
✔ Treated regularly for fleas, ticks, and mites

Our Queens: Happy, Healthy, and Never Overbred

🐾 Our aim with our queens is to breed only every 6 to 12 months between litters maximum. Their health and well-being always come first! A strong, healthy momma raises stronger, healthier babies. Our girls are beloved members of our family first.

🐾 Our home is their home. Our breeding cats are never caged—they live in a clean, enriching environment designed for mental and physical stimulation.

🐾 Limited exposure to infectious agents. We operate a closed cattery ts. To protect pregnant moms and kittens visits by live audiovisual calls .

Socialization: Preparing Kittens for Happy Homes

🐾 Raised in a multi-cat environment – Since most homes have multiple cats, our kittens grow up socialized with other adult cats to smooth future introductions and allow lessons on 'Proper Cat Manners" .

🐾 Raised with our Kitten Nanny dogs – Many families have both dogs and cats, so we ensure our kittens are comfortable around dogs.

🐾 Handled daily by the breeder – This is a home, not a cat mill. Mental health is just as important as physical health!

🐾 Retired early (usually by age 3) – Our Kings and Queens are placed in loving pet homes when they are still young and can enjoy the rest of their lives as spoiled, cherished companions.

Azure Sky Ragdolls is a home-based, ethical, TICA-registered, and licensed Ragdoll breeder located in Kamloops, British Columbia. We are currently the only TICA-registered Ragdoll breeder in Kamloops.

Meet Our Kitten Nannies

At Azure Sky Ragdolls, our kittens grow up in a home filled with love, care, and even a few special furry babysitters! Our dedicated kitten nannies play an essential role in helping our kittens feel safe, socialized, and confident around dogs.

🐾 Head Kitten Nanny – Sophia (German Shepherd)

Sophia has been raised with cats since she was a puppy—they are her family. She takes her job very seriously, although the adult cats don’t always appreciate her dedication.

Her biggest offense? She insists on cleaning their faces (and bottoms!) long after they’ve grown up! As a result, many of our kittens spend their early days looking like little Elvis impersonators with their fur swept back. 😆

But make no mistake—Nanny Sophia is always on duty, keeping a close eye on her feline charges and ensuring everyone is safe and happy.

🐾 Assistant Kitten Nanny – Bear (White Eskimo)

Bear was born and raised in our cattery, making him the perfect big brother to our kittens. His specialty? Befriending older kittens and making sure they feel at home.

Bear’s best friends include:
✔ King Talisman – they wrestle and play.
✔ Queen Aamaya – who treats him like her personal heating pad/security blanket. We often find them cuddled up together for naps.
✔ The young kings and queens – who headbutt him in affection, a true sign of love in the cat world.

Our kitten nannies help prepare our Ragdoll kittens for life in multi-pet homes, ensuring they are dog-friendly, confident, and well-socialized before joining their Forever Families.
